At the end of the year, we decided to make all of the mentors on the robotics team awards. We were originally going to laser cut them, but some last second delays meant that we had to scramble to make certificates...
They were all humorous inside joke awards. They ranged from the "Mid Life Crisis Award" to the "Interior Design Award" to the "Golden Joystick Award" (which came with an actual golden joystick!). We also got the two most involved mentors framed photos of the team, which everyone signed. It all came out nice.
All the mentors really seemed to like their awards, which was really cool. The part most of the engineers liked the most was the disclaimer on the bottom of the awards. It read: "Offer void where prohibited by law. Poisonous if ingested. Limit one coupon per customer per day. Do not use if on the BobcAtkins Diet™. No cash value. Flammable - keep away from open flame. Do not use while operating a motor vehicle or heavy equipment. Freshest if used before date printed on certificate. Subject to change without notice. Beware of shooter on practice field. Slippery when wet. That was easy. Batteries not included. Power with 12V only. Do not attempt to score this certificate in center goal. This award is non-transferable. Choking hazard - keep away from children under the age of three. Warning: So much fun, one day it may be illegal."
